The Cuyahoga County Department of Consumer Affairs is responsible for enforcing the county’s Consumer Protection Code.

The Consumer Protection Code broadly prohibits companies from misleading consumers in order to make a sale. Businesses should make sure their advertising and sales practices comply with our Weights and Measures Code and Consumer Protection Code. Violations could result in penalties.
